Annual US-Israel Symposium - Rivka Carmi

Other distinguished thinkers spoke about:

    • The Challenges of Tech Innovation
    • Artificial Intelligence
    • Microbiome Research
    • How to Protect Research with a Patent.

“For both Jamie and me, it is a privilege to expand on Mort’s idea and see this scholarship program come to life. You, the Zuckerman scholars, have all had challenges in your work but those challenges do not stop great ideas from going forward. Robert Kennedy had a quote about the ripples of hope—you throw a pebble in the water, and it creates multiple currents with different centers of energy, all inter-connecting. That is what we are doing here – creating great energy of hope and building great bridges between the United States and Israel.”
– Eric J. Gertler
Trustee, Zuckerman Institute

“I’m going to use a technical term that we learned from our uncle Mort Zuckerman—nachas. It gives us great nachas to be associated with this project. This is a good example of how mighty oaks grow from tiny acorns. The people in this room will help humanity, and there’s no better goal than that.”
– James S. Gertler
Trustee, Zuckerman Institute

“The US-Israel bridge that Mort Zuckerman has built by establishing this program will one day be known as his biggest and most influential “real estate” project.”
– Boaz Golany
Vice President for External Relations & Resource Development, Technion–Israel Institute of Technology
