November 3, 2019  >  10:00am – 2:00pm

Please join us for a half-day academic exchange celebrating the unprecedented number of women in the Zuckerman STEM Leadership Program.

We continue to lead the way in advancing women in STEM in academic institutions. Much remains to be done, but the Zuckerman STEM Program believes it’s important to increase the momentum.

Each Zuckerman female scholar is making an impact in her field, creating a larger group of her peers and paving the way for other women to be accepted .

The symposium will showcase the talents of the women in the program, and examine the achievements and challenges of women in STEM fields. Our speakers will create a discussion about real solutions that can advance women in STEM in both academia and industry.

Topics will cover a range of subjects, including:

ECONOMIC GROWTH
Why is increasing the number of women in STEM important, and what role should governments take in the issue?

SHIFTING THE GENDER BALANCE IN STEM
Who’s the boss?

“I DID IT MY WAY”
Successful women in STEM speak about making meaningful scientific and technological discoveries.

RESEARCH IN STEM
